Marissa fell in love with teaching the second she stepped into a classroom! She knew she always wanted to be a teacher and to impact the lives of young students. She is passionate about creating good students and teaching them to be good humans. Marissa is a Dance Pedagogy major, which allows her to learn how to create lesson plans in Tap, Ballet, and Jazz Pedagogy courses. With her major, she gets hands-on experience, teaching in a real dance studio, which is such an incredible opportunity. The classes at Oklahoma City University have helped her learn how to create and manage a studio, create curriculum for students based on different age levels and abilities, plan events, and work backstage.
