Howdy!

My name is Marissa Garza, sometimes known as MG! I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I began dancing when I was 3 years old and have fell in love with it ever since. I grew up dancing at Earle Cobb Dance Studio, competed on the Dena's Dazzlers competitive team, and began teaching at the studio! I fell in love with teaching the second I stepped into my first assistant teacher position. Watching teachers change lives was something I dreamed of doing ever since I was in 6th grade.
I am passionate about performing as well as educating the future generation of dancers, inspiring them to love dance. In every classroom setting, I strive to push people to be their best self and live their truth. I aim to create an uplifting, positive work environment in any setting I find myself in. I strongly believe that collaboration, accessibility, diversity, grace, and passion are fundamental attributes to any artistic environment. My ultimate dream is to create a unique, accessible dance space for all dancers!
I am majoring in Dance Pedagogy at Oklahoma City University and will graduate in May 2027!
